Schladming Resort Description Snow Range: 745-2700m Village Heights 745m (2,444ft) Highest Lift 2,700m (8,910ft) Schladming lies amidst the beautiful Dachstein Mountain region in the province of Styria. A large, bustling village, Schladming dates back to Medieval times and has tremendous character. The 1982 World Championships really put Schladming on the map as a world-class international resort and since then hosts the World Cup downhill race, due to take place in January 2005. Coupled with a good snow record and an excellent ski area Schladming has plenty to offer.
